My HORN family moved to Ripley Co. from Illinois in the late 1830s, then on to Izard Co. AR for the 1840 census, then back to Ripley Co., Little Black Post Office, for the 1850 Census. There were Jesse, John, James, Jacob, Frederick, Jesse, Joseph, David and William. Girls were Catherine, Charlotte, Charity and Catherine. I think they were of German descent, and I have no idea why they came to Ripley Co. or why some of them went back to Arkansas. I would love any thoughts. Also any ideas as to where Jesse, 3rd great-grandfather, could be buried. On one census, there was a Ponder listed, and I know there is a Ponder Cemetery, but no HORN listed.
