I don't have much - Frances Elizabeth Weaver - wife of John Eddings - she was born in North Carolina 1784.

She died October 1841 in either River Crossing, Oregon co., Mo. or Ripley co., Mo.

Her husband John Eddings - also from North Carolina - born about 1776. He died 1842 in Iuka, Marion co., Illinois. There is a death & burial listing for him in Marion co., Il but none for Frances Elizabeth.

I don't know if John & Frances Elizabeth were living together at the time of her death or not. Some researchers insist Frances Elizabeth was living with her son John Jackson Eddings & his family in Mo. (He died a couple weeks before she did.)
John Jackson Eddings born 1807 in N.C. had a wife & at least 4 children - 3 daughters ages about 6-5-1 & 1 son age about 3 in 1840: wife would have been between 25 & 35 years in 1840.

John Jack Eddings would have been about 33 years in 1840.
Frances Elizabeth would have been about 56 years in 1840 - husband John Eddings would have been about 64 years in 1840.

One daughter of Frances Elizabeth & John Eddings - Frances, along with her husband - Andrew Thomas Blackwell - & family lived in either Ripley Co. or Howell co., Mo. on 19 Oct 1841 - as one of their children was born on that date.
(On 11 Mar 1840 - the birth date of another one of their children shows them in Marion co., Il.) By November of 1843 they are back in Illinois.

To the best of my knowledge, the name has always been spelled Eddings - but who knows what a census enumerator might put down. Also, Frances Elizabeth is full blood Cherokee. Her husband John Eddings is at least 1/2 Cherokee - perhaps more.

I don't know if any of this will be of help to you or not. I hope I didn't confuse you.

Thank you very much for your time & effort. Laura
