Hi, just to confuse things more, my grandfather, Henry E. Williams(1875-1967), was the son of Susan(Gartman)Williams,and John E Williams and was born in Ripley County. Susan married an Isaac Badgley in 1883. No trace of John barely before and none after those dates. My grandfather gave a house to a family named Bass in Harrisonville, Mo. There were many unusual circumstances to all the relationships and as I imagine you know,many rumours. I was a young boy when the Bass family lived next door to grandpa and I think they all delighted in filling me with wild tales, some surely stretched but maybe a bit of truth to all. I'd be interested in hearing from you with any info. Rick Williams
