How did Ellington, MO get it's name?

Am searching for information concering how 'Ellington', MO came to be - how was the town named for? Was there a name for the community before it became Ellington? I"ve had no luck finding information of old communities or old towns in this county in existence before present day sites; i.e. Logan Creek, Booneville
