according to James E. Bell....Jacob Eliot very little is known about him. He can be found in the Washington and Reynolds county census form 1830-1870. Apparently he lived to be an old man.
maybe you could find out more info if you do searches on the individuals listed with him in the 1850 census....
The Jacob Eliot in James's book indicates he married Mary Walker and that she came to reynolds county in the 1860's with 4 sons from arkansas....
Jacob Elliot; section 29, township 33, range 2 east- this was early land ownership listed in the book....
