Davis B. Whiteside, d 4 July 1913 near Ft Mason, according to account in Louis Houck's 1908 HISTORY OF MISSOURI.
Elizabeth (Isabella) Chitwood Whiteside Hubbard, was a daughter of Capt. James Chitwood, who d 1780 NC, as proved by letter dated 1809, from Thomas Thomson in St. Louis to Capt. James' son James Chitwood in NC. See: http://genforum.genealogy.com/chitwood/messages/316.html , for copy of letter.
Elizabeth's first husband died in Cahokia, St. Clair Co, IL (across river from St. Louis) in 1795. Later that year, in St. Clair Co, IL, she may have married a second time to John Bond, who died before 1797, when she received land in St. Louis District under her maiden name, Isabella Chitwood. She later married a widower, Euseubias Hubbard, who died in about 1816. Elizabeth [Chitwood Whiteside (poss. Bond)] Hubbard, died intestate in Dec 1827, and letters of administration were granted to her son, Thomas S. Whiteside (Jr) on 24 January 1828 in St. Louis (A-314/5). An 1853 deed of partition to her children shows wrong date of death, as Dec 1829, instead of Dec 1827 (http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/surnames/c/h/CHITWOOD/deeds/8)
