I did not find Sally's death certificate, do you have her death date or Molly's death date? I have James and Ely's certificates. I never understood why Ely remained with the Sally, after Alfred re-married. But, I assume he had only known Sally and James as his home family, after his Mother died when Ely was very young. Margaret Gibbons was 41, when she married Alfred Athens Cox. That was her only marriage.

I am sorry that I do not have more that James Cox and Sarah [maiden surname unknown] as Alfred's paternal grandparents born in 1791 and 1792 in Virginia. My main research is Alfred Athen Cox's second wife, Margaret Gibbons Cox's family.

Thank you for the information, it filled in some gaps.
