I have part of my answer about the year James CAMPBELL died. The answer I found was from microfilm of the Administator records from the Pulaski County Courthouse. My James CAMPBELL died, intestate, in 1836. He had two principal administrators, one was Robert MONTGOMERY in 1836 and another, Andrew STEEL, in 1842. Both of these men married women from the CAMPBELL family lines.
My source for the year of death is:
Microfilm Order from LDS (Mormon) library, Salt Lake City, Utah, film #0944685, Pulaski Co., Missouri Applications for Administration & Letters of Administration, 1833-1852," (including index).
Page Name Year
49/146-6-7 CAMPBELL, James 1836
49-50 CAMPBELL, John 1836
[Research Note: The name John CAMPBELL is not in pages 49-50. James CAMPBELL is the one in all these pages and he was my ggg grandfather.]
This James CAMPBELL's wife was Ruth (ANDERSON) CAMPBELL. James was born about 1796 possibly in South Carolina or North Carolina. I have conflicting data about his date and place of birth. Ruth was born 1803 in North Carolina, and died in Kansas in 1877.
I still need information as to where he is buried in Pulaski County. Maybe his grave is listed in one of the cemetery readings for Pulaski County? Could someone please look up the name of the cemetery and tell me where he is buried?
