Ferrell Cemetery has been transcribed. According to our Headstone Inscriptions of Pulaski County book, "it is an old family cemetery located on the Freddy Gray, Jr. farm, east of Waynesville. There are 5 known graves there with headstones that read:

Robert F. Ferrell
28 Nov 1878 - 1 Apr 1925

James H. Ferrell
30 Sep 1868 - 30 Sep 1925

John R. Ferrell
29 *** 1832 25 May 1891 (the reader couldn't tell what the month was)

Nancy A. Ferrell
4 Apr 1843 - 27 Apr 1920
(Wife of John R.)

Ferrell William S.
2 Jul 1870 - 9 Sep 1871
(Son of J.R. and N.A.)

There could be others buried there, but these are the only known ones buried there. Back then unless you had money for a headstone, your grave was marked with a wooden cross that is now long gone or a big field stone.

Hope this helps,
Mary Case
