Hi Kathy,
Yes, I knew your name sounded familiar, but didn't know if you were the same Kathy Graves that we knew of. I can get those obits for you the next time I get to town, but now that Michael is retired we don't get there very often. But I will get them for you. The only suggestion that I can think of and I am not sure it will work or not. Try going to the court house, clerks office and see if they have records for new business license applications and if so see if they can locate when Mr. Schwartz applied. The date will help pinpoint when he opened. Then go to the library, and they have newspaper microfilms for way back when. That is how I get obituaries for people. With the license date you can ask for that year microfilm. They will show you how to use the film if you don't already know. Then scan pages of the film for when Mr. Schwartz had his grand opening. You might luck out and there will be a picture of the store with him standing in front of it. I will let you know when I get the obits.
