Hello, can anyone help me? I am looking for information about Barney and Catharine (or Catherine) Kelley, and any of their children.
They were both born in Ireland, ca. 1824 and 1825. In the 1870 census they lived in Piney, Pulaski County, Missoui with six children ranging from 7 to 17, James, Margaret, Catharine, Matthew, Julia, and Barney. The first three children were born in PA. The last three in Missouri. I cannot find the elder Barney or Catherine in any other census anywhere else. It is possible that Barney was originally O'Kelley.
The younger Barney and James, I believe that I found them living as laborers with other families in the 1880 census. The younger Barney eventually moved to Oklahoma and married Augusta Maude(Gussie) Hilburn. I'm thinking that the first Barney may have died before the 1980m census, but Catherine was supposed to have survived until 1907.
If anyone knows any more about this family, your help would be greatly appreciated.
