Migration to Pulaski county in 1870's ??

Little is known as to what brought people to Pulaski county after the Civil War... but apparently some word of mouth, sale of land by the railroad, perhaps newspaper ads in the east. Does anyone know of advertizing material that was used to bring people to the area where Fort Leonard Wood is now??
