Thnks so much for posting the Campbell information; that was very helpful! I think now I know the given names of A. J. Campbell of TN and that his first wife was named Sarah (b.TN)(was her surname Beale?). His 2nd wife was also named Sarah--Sarah (Harrison) Hendricks--so these censuses have had me confused for a long time since in the 1860 Pulaski MO census there was an A.J. Campbell with wife Sarah but there was also a Sarah Hendricks living elsewhere in Pulaski with her children.

I don't have proof that Sarah (Harrison) Hendricks married A. J. Campbell after that 1860 census. Would you know anything about that and whether they had a child?

Do you know who Alfred Carter was who lived with A. J. Campbell all his life and was with Sarah (Harrison) Hendricks Campbell in 1870? I believe he was the Alfred Carter who m. Lucy Mayfield in 1876. Do you know who his parents were?

Thanks again for your help and maybe you even have some more answers.
