My husband's Toliver/Tolliver/Tolivar family is from that area. He has 2 great aunts that married Pitts on his fathers side. Both siblings, one of his grandma and other of his grandpa.

Gladys Faye Tolivar married a Jesse Lee Pitts. (Grandpa Jesse Memmon Tolivar's sister)

Ella May Shaw married Leland Levi Pitts. (Grandma Ada Belle Shaw Tolivar's sister)
