John Alexander Campbell was born 6 Aug 1849 in Dunnegan, MO and died 26 Sept 1934. His wife is Amanda ___ 1852-1931. They are buried in Dunnegan Cemetery along with his parents and siblings. He is the third son of Matthew Glaves Campbell (b. 1811 in TN d. 1874 in Polk County)and Sarah A. Thompson (b. 1822 in TN, d. 1907 in Polk co.). My great grandfather, George Washington Campbell is a younger brother. I think I have a copy of an obituary but can't put my hands on it right now. I will keep looking. I do have a copy of the newspaper article about the double marriage of Campbell and Frieze in 1835. It was found in the Bolivar Herald. Send me your email address and I'll send it to you--along with the obit when I find it. It is believed that William and Amanda Campbell are the brother and sister of Matthew G. I haven't been able to prove that yet. Matthew is my brick wall.
