William Logue's Last Will and Testament

I recently received a well-preserved copy of the last will and testament of my g(3)-grandfather, William Logue, from the wife of one of my first cousins. The will was prepared, signed, and witnessed on 30 April 1836. There is nothing in the will to provide a clue as to the location of the will's preparation. The internal clues of the will strongly suggest that my g(3)-grandfather was living with or near his oldest son, Martin Logue.

With that in mind, I have been researching the locations where Martin was living near the time of the will's preparation. I found that Martin was living in Wayne County, Indiana according to the 1830 U.S. census. I checked with the Wayne County Genealogical Society and they found no record showing William Logue's will filed in that county.

More recently I found a General Land Office record dated 2 April 1835 that describes the sale of a parcel of land located in Hancock County, Indiana to "Martin M. Logue of Henry County, Indiana". Thus, Martin Logue and his family apparently left Wayne County and moved to Henry County by April 1835. Since this was almost exactly one year prior to the preparation and signing of the will, I was certain that the will had been filed with the clerk of the court of that county. However, researchers in Henry County, Indiana could find no records of the Logue family.

I found that the U.S. census records for 1840 and 1850 show that Martin M. Logue was living in Platte County, Missouri with his family. It is possible that Martin removed from Henry County, Indiana not long after the land transaction of April 1835 and settled in Platte County, Missouri. I have now concluded that it is possible that this will was prepared and filed with the clerk of the court in Platte County.

I would like to get some guidance on finding someone to conduct research in Platte County to see if there exists any record of this will having been filed there.
