If you have access to: Portrait and Biographical Record of Northern Missouri, pub. C. O. Owen & Co. of Chicago, IL (1895), p. 585-586. The personal history of Hon. Jesse H. Rector shows him as the proprietor of Elk Lick Springs in Pike County, Missouri. Sorry, I don't have information about the Springs specifically.
