There may Rogers burials in Mt. Pleasant as there are numerous unmarked graves with broken, removed or buried makers. Mt. Pleasant was severely overgrown and neglected. I spent several days attempting to photo survey what was there at the time. I did probing along possible rows and probably found many of the buried markers. I did not concentrate on small plot areas to probe every square foot, however. It can be quite time consuming and hard work to fully probe and dig out markers for a cem. this size, so I tend to lose motivation and move on to other projects. I did list anything found or known as of the Spring of 2007 on the old web page. I have been working since that time with NE Iowa history/genealogy, thus have not been back or concentracted on any new Mt. Pleasant or NEMO info. However, the Pike County Historical group may have started a clean up project for Mt. Pleasant so I suggest contacting them to see if any more known Mt. Pleasant burials or markers have been found.
