Hi Jack:
There must be more than one Mary C Draper born 1844 Pike MO...or something is definitely wrong here:
I've found 6 trees for Mary and they all list her date of birth as June 11, 1844 in Pike Co.
One tree has her date of death listed as August 15, 1933 in Oswego KS.
1860 she is in Pike Co age 16 with her mother Mary, sister Susan, John B and a Thomas R Kerr listed as student.
1870 she is in Pike County MO Bowling Green living with her mother and her sister Susan.
1880 finds her living with her mother Mary and sister Susan in Oswego KS. She is single.
In 1900 she is listed living with her mother Mary (age 91) sister Susan (age 66) in Oswego. She is listed as single.
1920 she is still in Oswego Kansas, living with John B (age 77) and his two daughters Florence and Mary Eleanor (both single). She is 75 and still listed as single. Her occupastion is none...and John B is listed a retired MD.
In 1930 (indexed as MAry C Docker) she is in the Oswego Hospital -age 85-
She never had any children living with her at anytime on any census. Was the child (your g grandparent) adopted out?
