According to the 1883 History of Pike County Missouri (Chapter XIX -- Ashley Township), the following churches were located in Ashley:

Bethesda (Cumberland Presbyterian) Church
The Old Republican Meeting House
The Christian Church
Old School Presbyterian Church
The Methodist Episcopal Church South
Old Siloam (Baptist) Church
New Siloam (Baptist) Church
Siloam (Missionary Baptist) Church
Indian Creek Church
St. Clement's (Catholic) Church in St. Clement (between Ashley and Bowling Green)

Some of these churches were used by more than one congregation. The History does give brief membership information. Is there a particular person you are hoping to locate?
