Rebecca, I apologize for being so scatterbrained and not organizing my replies into one. Just realized that I may have Moss family in your book. Benjamin Moss (my ggrandfather)married to Mary Edwards and farmed in New Hartford area. That is all I know about them. My grandfather (their son, Robert S. Moss)was born in 1890, so the time is probably right. He is my brick wall, and I would be thrilled if he's in there! Again, it's the New Hartford vs Hartford thing - but worth a try.
