I visited this cemetery back in June. It is an old one & has not been well taken care of, although someone has at least put crosses made out of white pipes to mark grave places. It sits in the city limits, behind the school. I know I have family burried here but am lost as to where. I live in central Illinois so can not get there that often.

The surnames in my family that lived in & around St. James are Pankey, Cross, Gibson, Pitts(step) & Gorman(step). Most of the ones I know of are resting in the other St James Cemetery that once was called the Old Masonic Cemetery & was well taken care of.

If you know anything of the old cemetery or connect with these names pls. contact me.

Brenda (Pankey) Hall
