My father, Norman Thomas Shelley, lived in southwest Missouri most of his adult years. He lived from 1910 to 1977. I was his only son, Henri Paul Shelley.
His Dad, James Commodore Shelley, was married to Pearl Evelyn Allen but quickly divorced. Commodore died in Springfield, Missouri on Dec. 24, 1960. He is buried near Eudora/Aldrich, Missouri, northwest of Sprinfield.
Recently, my grandfather's draft card was found: he was born April 28, 1888 in Phelps County, Missouri. The census in the early 1900's said his father was from Indiana.
