South Fork Cemetery

WHO/WHOM? should I contact about having a new stone/s placed in the South Fork Cemetery?

My great-grandfather, William Hamm, was a War of 1812 soldier of Virginia. He was born 14 April 1794 in Augusta County, Virginia, and died 20 February 1880 at McAlister Springs, Saline County, Missouri.

My grandfather, Bartholomew Hamm, was born 15 January 1848 in Fayette County, Ohio, and died 16 September 1907 at McAlister Springs, Saline County, Missouri. At one time he was postmaster of McAlister Springs.

Both are buried at South Fork Cemetery just off Highway 127 in northwest Pettis County, Missouri. Neither has ever had a tombstone. My family would like to rectify that. We realize there is no way of locating their graves, but would like to place a stone or stones somewhere in the cemetery with their names and dates of birth, dates of death, etc.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you.

Charles Hamm
