A Missouri Man Shot Himself. John Westfall Left a Note Saying the World Was Exciting.
Portland, Ore., Feb 6., John WESTFALL of Perry , Mo., shot himself on the John HOFFMAN ranch in Horse Heaven, Benton county, Washington, yesterday. WESTFALL it is said, was a graduate of the University of Missouri, and owned considerable stock, as well as a bank account in Prosser, Wash. His last letter was addressed to HOFFMAN, and said: "I have decided to get off the earth, for I can't stand the excitement any longer."
HOFFMAN has sent the body to Perry, Mo. HOFFMAN is the rancher on whose farm Frank HOFFMAN was working when captured for the MYERS murder trial at Kansas City.
