Again, the family isnt mine but I do have a few hints that you might want to follow.
1.) In the 1870 census, John Devein household there is a John 63 years old listed. I imagine this is the father of John and your Anna. You might want to follow that out.
2.) The 19 year old Jacob is probably a younger brother of John and Anna.
3.) In the 1900 census, John Dewain household there is a Herman Meister listed as uncle. This would mean that he is
a.) brother of Johns mother, making her maiden name Meister.
b.) husband of the sister of either Johns mother or father, meaning he was an in-law and the name Meister doesnt help you with direct descent.
c.) he was the uncle of Johns wife, either paternal or maternal.
