So what you are saying in 1860 the house is headed by Matthew and Margaret, then William and Elizabeth, Robert John and Nancy, etc.
Margaret is interesting because a lookup volunteer found Matthew in 1850 with wife Elizabeth
1850 Perry County, MO
Matthew Smith 57 Blacksmith born in NC
Elizabeth 51 born NC
Robert 17 yrs.
Royal 21 yrs.
John 14 yrs.
Jane 23 yrs.
Do you have the actual images for the 1850 and 1860 census and if so do you mind emailing them? Also do you have the record for Elizabeth Cochran in 1850?
