Need help with this Liggett & Cawthon family

I am researching my husbands lineage with his grandfather Hershel Liggett as my root. This Liggett family lived in southeastern Missouri in Pemiscot and Stoddard counties.
Hershel Ligget's parents died when he was very young, and he and his twin brothers Herman and Herbert were sent to an orphanage in St Louis Mo. The father died first, he was believed to have been Jesse Liggett, and his father is thought to have been Thomas Liggett. Jesse Liggett is said to have married Mary Cawthon. After Jesse Liggett died, his wife remarried to a Mr Harrington/Herrington and they had a set of twin daughters Lulu Harrington/Herrington and the other daughter died at birth. It is believed the mother died when she had the twin daughters. I have found no burial place for her yet. I have no clue as to whom Lulu Harrington/Herrington married. Mary Cawthon Liggett Harrington is said to have been living near Bragadocia when she died. I have no idea who the parents of Mary Cawthon/Cothern were.
Hershel Liggett was adopted and moved to Kansas where the Stephens family adopted him, his name became Hershel Liggett Stephens, I have plenty of data on him, I am missing the data for the others, Herman, Herbert, and Lulu, there may have been other siblings I am not aware of. Herman married Iva, and Herbert moved to Michigan sometime...
Your help is appreciated in sorting out their parents and grandparents names. This family was related to the Rhodes and Garner family somehow also.
