I didn't find him in the 1020 or the 1930 cenus. I did see the one in the 1910 census the information on him is really close. He should have been born in 1849. He seemed to give a different age with different records.
I found a death certificate of an Elijah D. Woods thet says he was born Feb. 12 1848 this would be close. The death certificate says he was buried in Hayti Cemetery, in Missouri.

This death certificate lists his father as John Woods, My Elijah"S Father was James but I have found in other death certificates that different names were give for the parents.

My Elijah has been a very elusive person.
