Hi Evelyn - thanks for the info. Last time I was down in Caruthersville the Pemiscot Hist Society was in Caruthersville. They had all their old books and newspapers in the attic or upstairs of a church. I can't remember which one, but I know I have it written down somewhere. It has been about 8 years since I have done any digging so need to refresh my memory on dates, names, etc. My grandmother, who is 92 now and doing very well, was raised in Dogskin, which is now Vicksburg. Also in Braggadocio. Her name is Cordie White - Maiden name Turner. There is an old locked vault in the courthouse in Caruthersville that has old books in it with things written in it like Poll tax(??), when someone bought a car, etc. The only records I have found on my great grandfather were in these books. Also found Vaughn stuff on my Great Grandmother. Might be a few weeks before I have all my stuff organized but if you are interested will give you any info I may have, (which is not much). I will ask my Grandmother if she remembers the Ash family. Talk to you soon, Alana
