Death Certificate Lookup?
Posted by: Juanita (Coffey) Daniel Date: October 06, 2001 at 18:37:04

I am wondering if there is anyone who does (or knows who might) do a death certificate and/or obituary lookup in Ozark County. My grandfather died there on June 5, 1885..(murdered) I feel there must be a story and , at a minimum, an obituary in the local newspaper....likely Gainesville area. If I could get a copy of the death certificate or obituary I think it will help fill in some missing links as to his parentage and place of burial. I know that in some areas there are people who will do this sort of lookup process. I will pay someone to get this for me. I live in California and I don't know how to achieve it from here. Thanks to anyone who reads my "plaintive plea" Laughing ...but seriously....thanks. Juanita at: 1etadan@home.com
