I am looking for information on my great grandfathers family. Nathaniel Vincent Rice was born sometime in October 1836 in Tennessee. He later moved to Alton, Missouri. He married Rhoda Elizabeth Wells 11 Nov. 1868. Nathaniel and Rhoda had the following children:
1. Nancy Rice, born 1872 in Alabama
2. Melinda Susan Rice, born May 1876 in Missouri
3. Andrew J. Rice, born 1877 in Missouri
4. George Wells Rice, born 11 Nov. 1878, in Couch,
Missouri, Oregon County. He married Margaret Cates
5. Rhoda Evelyn Rice,(my grandmother) born 23 Jun. 1885
in Alton, Missouri. She died 27 Mar. 1939 in Venice,
Illinois. She married John Henry O'Bear.
6. Charles Vincent Rice, born 08 Jan 1888 Oregon Co.,
Missouri. Probably Alton, Missouri. He died
04 Aug. 1955 Oregon Co. Missouri. Buried Bailey
Chapel Cemetery outside of Alton, Missouri.
He married Lottie Evelyn Parrott.
