Hello Lanita, You have helped me in the past and hopefully you can once again. I am still lokking for my great-aunt that moved fro mTn. to Oregon Co. Mo. in the mid 1870's. Her name is Mahala Dabbs Goodwin B. 1830 D. after Sept. 1898 (due to land transactions). She married Thomas Michael Goodwin and 7 chidren: Sarah aAnn Elizabeth B.1849, Joseph L. 1850, Margaret 1851, George W. 1854, James (Jim) William, 1856, Thomas Jefferson 1861 and Mary Melvinia B. 1870. This is from Mahala"s GR-Gr-Gr-Grandaughter.. she states that Mahala is buried in the New Salem Cem. without a marker. Do you know of any records that can conferm this? Also if there is a mortality schedule for Oregon co. for 1890-1900 she may be listed there also. Another thing, Are ther any newspapers that may have her obituary? I'm still grasping at straws on this family. Mahala's husband, Thomas Michael Goodwin is found in Barry Co. and died and buried there in the Concord Cem. I thought maybe Mahala was there too but there is one large stone for T.M. and he died Feb. 6,1899 at the age of 70yrs. Any help will solely and greatly appreciated. Thanks, Shirley Dabbs DuPont shirley_dupont@hotmail.com
