The 1880 census for Rock Creek, Otoe Co NE incorrectly listed this family as BRANNON... (Burr NE)

James..age 45 .. b.Ire.. farmer .. IRE.....Ire
Eliza......47.... " Hskpg ....." "
John ......18 ...b. IL (c. 1862)
Nancy .....17 ... "
Jennie.....16 ...... "
Samuel ....14 ...... "
James .....10 ....b. NE (family arvd between 1866 & 1870)

The above James m. Lillie (Rowe?) in Burr NE. Family lore says they moved to California. Two of their children are buried in the Burr NE cemetery:

James H (Harvey?) Brennan 3-31-1899 to 4-4-1899
Ollive L Brennan 4-30-1890 to 7-28-1901

I believe Lillie Brennan is the d/o Nancy Marie Moore b.1832 IL and James Harvey Rowe or Carlos Cowles. Nancy Marie m. Carlos Cowles 1852 and James Rowe 1857. Prior to moving to Otoe Co NE the Rowe, Cowle and Moore adults had lived in Atchison Co MO which became Fremont Co IA in 1850.

Nancy Marie Moore's mother:
Margaret Wolverton b.PA m. 1)Abraham Moore b.PA d.1834 IL 2) John Eberman abt 1835 IL.. John and Margaret were in Atchison Co MO c.1841. John is the father of Wm. Crockett Eberman and Ninian Eberman who guided wagon trains to CA and OR in the 1840's. If this rings any bells, please contact me... All these families have been very difficult to track and there doesn't seem to be much help on line... thanks for any pushes in the right direction.....
