We have a Phoebe McCaslin Burns (Anderson) b. 11 May 1828 in McMinn, TN, in our family. In 1850 she lived in McDonald Co., which is close to Granby. Not sure if I can be of any help to you, however, why she got the middle name of McCaslin. Possibly on her mother's maiden side(Martha Patty James). Many of my relatives lived in Granby, MO (Newton Co.).
