I am interested in the Stave Mill at Gideon. My grandmother, Beula Ore Walker(maiden),Slatter(possible early marriage)Tucker and my grandfather Oscar Lee Tucker met at the Stave Mill and married across the county line at Clarkton, MO in 1914. My grandmother worked for a cook Nellie Mae Effinger. Any information would be appreciated.
I have one old photo of my g.uncle Lonnie Walker and other men standing on top of big stacks of lumber. I plan to come to the area next week to do research if anyone has any suggestions.
