Hi,
I know where Griffith Cemetery is. I am also sure that there are still stones there. It was not plowed down. A lot of them around that area was plowed over by the farmers, but they left Griffith. The up-keep on it is very poor, it is very grown up. New Madrid County never , back in the earlier years keep very good records of who was barried, and where. But if you would like for me too, I will go out and see if I can find his stone and record what is on it, and maybe take a photo of it for you. I will also check and see if I can come up with anything in records, but I do not think that they will have anything on him. They really did not start keeping up with the cemeteries till about the mid 1900's. Thank you, Pat Taylor
