Please don't post a memorial for him at Christ Lutheran Cemetery, as I was just advised that his widow's Civil War pension file contains an affidavit by Pastor C H Proehl stating that Frederick died April 17, 1897 and that he conducted the burial ceremony. Proehl was pastor of the original St Paul Lutheran at Old Stover, a mile or so west of Christ Lutheran. (When the city of Stover was moved early 1900s, a new St Paul church was built in present day Stover) Does the obit also list Proehl?
