There was a Jackson H. S. Peter Fowler who was born @1815 KY (I do not know what County) and he was in Montgomery Co., MO 1849 because he loaned a Robert J. Heath $20.00 in Montgomery Co., MO.

I know he had been married to a lady that I believe died 1849-1855 but I do not know her name. He had children from a prior marriage when he married Josephine Goellner, May 12, 1855 in Cole Co., MO.

I have found very little on this man and his family. I never located him on any Census except the Osage Co., MO 1860 Census and I know he is buried at St. Josephs Cemetery in Wesphalia, Osage Co., MO. Jackson H. S. Peter Fowler died June 24, 1866.

I would really appreciate it if anyone can help me pinpoint an origin for this man? I do not know his parents, I cannot locate descendants of his sons who showed in Osage Co., MO 1860 Census.

His children:
1. Thomas Fowler b. @1847 MO

2. George Fowler b. @ 1849 no birth place shown

3. Henry Fowler b. @1856 no birth place shown but prob. Osage Co., MO

4. John Theodore Fowler baptized May 30, 1863 St. Joseph's Church Osage Co., MO

5. Charles George Fowler May 11, 1866 baptized St. Joseph's Church, Osage Co., MO

The 1860 Census shows that Jackson Fowler was a "Boatman." Jackson H. S. Peter Fowler & William Crede built a large steamboat to sail the Osage River in the fall of 1860 but the Gov. ordered it and the bridges blown up at the beginning of the Civil War to keep the enemy from entering the City. I obtained that Information from the Cole Co., Site where it is part of the Goodspeed Bio on William Crede. It says that William Crede lived with his Grandma Schroeder when he came to this Country and when Jackson Fowler died his widow, Josephine Goellner Fowler, married Francis Schroeder in 1867. I do not know if he is related to Wm. Crede.

I believe Jackson H. S. Peter Fowler is brother to my ancestor John C. Fowler because a Robert Fowler had deeded some land to them both in Osage Co., MO in 1843. I have no idea who their parents are or whether they have other siblings. My John C. Fowler married Olivia Heath (who was Niece of Robert J. Heath), daughter of David & Ellen Heath, in Gasconade Co., MO Jan 15, 1843.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thank you,
