It might help to have a census listing of this CLARK family. Please note that there may be errors, typos, etc.

The 1880 Federal Census for Montgomery Co. MO lists:
Name, Relation, Marital Status, Gender, Race Age, Birthplace, Occupation, Father's Birthplace, Mother's Birthplace
Isham CLARK Self M Male W 53 VA Farmer VA VA
Ann E. CLARK Wife M Female W 41 VA Keeping House VA VA
Robert B. CLARK Son S Male W 24 VA VA VA
Lucy A. CLARK Dau S Female W 22 VA VA VA
Thomas B. CLARK Son S Male W 20 VA VA VA
Cornelius M. CLARK Son S Male W 10 MO VA VA

From the above, it appears that this CLARK family made it from Virginia to somewhere in Missouri sometime in the 1860s. This family is most likely found in some county in Virginia in the 1850 and 1860 census. According to my information, the 1850 census for Bedford Co. is only partially completed and the 1860 has yet to be transcribed. Maybe some day you will be able to find them.

Regards, Dan Smith
