Hi Jan,
It's a small world. I was just in Fulton Co. last week looking for my grgrfather Moore and went to buy peaches from a neighbor and found out her nieghbor had relatives in Fulton Co. Il. There are a lot of Guthries out there. What else can you tell me about them. I'm a RAOGK(Random Act of Genealogical Kindness) resource person for Marion(adjoins Monroe Co.)Co. and I also happen to be a Guthrie descendant.
My Guthries came from Ky. to Mo. in 1819 and settled in Callaway Co. Small town of Guthrie is named for my grgrgrgrfather Samuel T.
The RAOGK means that I'm willing to return a favor that someone did for me and I like a good mystery. Let me know anything that you know about them. I can find out some stuff at the library if you know they died in Monroe Co.
Later, Gary
