Could you give me a bit more family information, including wife, children, parents if you know the names? There were several Burks families in Miller County, but the only Samuel I knew died recently was born in 1906. His father was Samuel R Burks. They all lived around Iberia.

I don't personally know the Burks families from near Eldon, Olean and or Eugene. There was a Stonewall Burke listed in 1910 and 1900 Miller Co Census north of the Osage River.
in those areas.

A Samuel O. Burks died in Kansas in the 1980's that was probably from that area. His wife Katherine Burks was from Olean and died in 2004 in Parson's KS.

I have not been to the courthouse this week, but can tell youthis, the only information they have are from cemetery records and obits, all filed in a death record book that only gives person's name, location and date of birth and death. I will look to see what I can find next week, but would appreciate any more information you can give me so I can track this family down for you.
