ROBBINS, ROBBINS, AND MORE ROBBINS
Posted by: Anna Brewer (ID *****4224) Date: October 04, 2002 at 13:36:45

My 2xG-grandfather was named Wilburn Robbins. I am not sure if he was married more than once but if so at least one of his wives was named Thursey (or Thursa). He was also the father of at least: John, Noah, Mary, Martha, Elizabeth (Beth), Lydia and Thomas N. Robbins/Robins. They were living in Miller County, MO in the 1850 census. I am just assuming that Wilburn was born about 1813 as he was 37 in the 1850 census. This census states he was born in Kentucky.

Thomas grew up and married Martha Medows (Meadows?) whom my mother recalls hearing was a first cousin to Thomas. In the 1880 Miller County, MO census it shows that Thomas and Martha were the parents of: Leroy J. married Hannah Poe in 1889 and had a son by the name of George W. Robbins, Daniel B., Alice F., Mary B., Ida A., Callie who married G. W. Porter in Phelps County, Missouri in February 1880, and in 1884 they had my grandfather, Walter E. I have had word that there were 11 children in all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA,

Anna
