ROBBINS

My GG-grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. Wilburn Robbins of Jim Henry Township, Miller County, Missouri. Wilburn was married more than once (first wife unknown) with whom he had several children and then he married a Theresa (aka, Thursey, Thursa) and had several more children. Wilburn is reported to have had approximately 11 children.

My G-grandparents were Thomas N. Robbins and Martha Meadows. This info was gotten from my grandfather's (Walter E. Robbins) death certificate.

I have a paper that states during the 1880 Census they were in Jim Henry Township, Miller County, Missouri. The following is the way the names were listed on this paper:

T. N. Robbins, self, age 38, Born in Missouri, Occu: Farmer, Father: MO Mother: TN

Matha A. Robbins, wife, age 39, born in Missouri, Occu: Keeping House, Father: MO Mother: MO

Leroy J. Robbins, son, age 13, born in Missouri, Occu: Works on farm.

Daniel B. Robbins, son, age 11, born in Missouri, Occu: Works on farm.

Alice F. Robbins, Dau., age 9, born in Missouri, Occ: At home.

Mary B. Robbins, Dau., age 7, born in Missouri, Occu: At home.

Ida A. Robbins, Dau., age 2, born in Missouri, Occu: At home.

This census was taken about four years before my grandfather was born. Walter was born May 4, 1884 in Missouri. Walter married Vincie Lynn Brown (daughter of Samuel Porter Brown and Mary (Mollie) Jane (WYATT) Brown of Birch Tree, Shannon County, Missouri) on March 22, 1917 in Eminence, Missouri. They had five or six children and then moved to Camp, Fulton County, Arkansas where they went on to have four or five more children. Vincie died there about 1941. Walter moved around Arkansas a little and as I understand from my mother married another time or two. He ended up in Beebe, White County, Arkansas. He ended up dying in the state hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 22, 1964 and was buried in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Beebe, Arkansas on July 24, 1964.

If any of this sounds familiar I would appreciate any help that I get.

TIA,

Anna
