Hi! I'm Marilyn Meinhart Johnson's daughter, Eileen. Marilyn and I were just talking this evening about the material you've sent to her. I thought you might net a better result with "Lemmon" with 2m's. I believe this is the correct spelling.
When I was packing up my grandmother's.(Gladys Allen Meinhart) things I came across a photo of a WWI doughboy in uniform on leave. Aunt Bess had penciled on the back Hanson or Hansen (I think) Lemmon. Maybe military records will yield info.
If you can talk Marilyn into unearthing the old family photos from Aunt Bess she may be able to give you some names. Aunt Bess wrote names and relationships on the backs of many of the photos. One old tin type made me laugh. It was an image of a couple with the woman's face scratched off! There's a story in there!
