I have been researching my Phillips Ancestry and recently did a Family Finder test through Family Finder at

One result came back, that seems to connect to other Phillips relations in VA and Kentucky, as well as Indiana and Ray County, Missouri.

I would like to know specifically, if anyone out there, has documentation they could possibly share with my person regarding William Phillips b. early 1700's who married Ann Penn in PA (?) on allegedly Mar 31, 1730 in Philadelphia, PA and also of their alleged son James Phillips who married to Mary Sullivan on or bef. allegedly 1768 in VA.

I am looking for actual historical documented paper trail if anyone has done this for these Phillips. I am looking for confirm also anything documentarily for Jacob Phillips, b. abt. 1751 married to RUTH in VA (?) moved to Mercer/Franklin/Anderson County, Kentucky, later family moved to Boone County, Indiana. Jacob did have a son Thomas Philips who died March 12, 1848 in Richmond, Ray County, MO married to Winifred Arbuckle. Both Phillips and Arbuckle 'owned' slaves in their lifetimes, and upon the death of the man, and or the surviving spouse, those slaves were allegedly freed. My John Phillips Sr. went to Boone Co., Indiana and had a John Jr. who married Elizabeth Babcock. Am interested in communicating with descendants!

OUR Phillips lineage seems to be related to a James Phillips b. 1745 in VA. who married to Mary Sullivan, who had a son John William Phillips b. 1768 married to a Ami Amy Ann Gentry. I am interested in communicating with descendants!

Further back, according to the DNA results we seem to go back to, and be connected with somehow, a James Phillips and his wife Ruth Dixon (m. 27 MAR 1741) of New Castle County, Delaware, who were of the Quaker Faith.

Hope to solve this puzzle about my Jacob Phillips and Ruth, of Franklin/Anderson County, KY and VA before that (I ams surmising)....

I am willing to share, if you are. I am not looking for Maybe's, Could Be's, or Might-Have-Been's ... but rather actual documentary pieces of historical evidence, such as marriage records, birth records, land records. Pieces that will convince me, of the genealogical connections.

If you are interested in doing a FTDNA Family Finder test, inquire.
