Thanks for the input, HRF. I had pretty much all of this info, was trying to go back from 1900. Saw passenger list for Itzek Lukatsch, but interesting you saw his former city as Ostrog, whereas at first I thought it was Ostroy. Based on further research, plus DNA tracing, it now appears Ostrog in Ukraine is correct, so I can go off on that path too.
1910 census mixed up Milton Lukatch and Julius Evans, which took me awhile to figure out - our tax dollars at work.
Also, I have more than a handful of birth dates for Isaac, all the way from 1866 to 1878 - must have been a shifty character - or someone was telling people the wrong dates all along!
Anyway, thanks so much for the info, HRF - much appreciated.
