This probably happened in Jefferson County, Kansas where the Cockrell families are listed in 1880 census?

Try contacting: http://skyways.lib.ks.us/genweb/jefferso/jfcohist.html

Morgan 26 is living with his parents Alexander and Hannah in 1880 and listed as a widow, so maybe his wife was already confined somewhere then?

George is listed separately with a wife Josy and kids Mary E 6, William 3, Lillie 5/12.

Don't find them 1900 but in 1910 "Morge" 50 widow is still (or again?) with parents "Ellis" 87 and Hannah 79 in Creek County, Oklahoma.
