Morgan And George Cockrell

Morgan and George Cockrell were brothers, siblings of my Grandfather Alexander Cockrell.Their Father was also named Alexander. They were the grandsons of Morgan Cockrell of MO and GG grandsons of Simon Cockrell also of MO.Story goes that brothers Morgan and George got into a fight and Morgan shot and killed George. This happened in KS in the late 1800's.The family moved to OK in 1889. I would like to find any court records on this case.It was said he spent 8-10 yrs in prison. Both brothers had children and Morgan's wife was said to go insane. Does anyone know where or to whom these children went? Is there a possibility that they went to Jackson in Breathitt county KY to live with realitives? It is documented that a Tom and James Cockrell and other siblings were under the Guardianship of DR Cox who was murdered during the Hargis-Cockrell Fued. After DR Cox died their Guardian became CX Bowling.Any help would be great.
