Claude, there is a St Mary's Cemetery in Lingo, but the MACON CO MO CEMETERY INDEX VOL 1-11, list him as being buried in the Lingo Cemetery
Use GOOGLE, and you can read about Macon Co cemeteries.

Mary is also bur Lingo Cem.
Very odd...Frank was the informant on her DC [1929]and didn't know her parents' names, but when Frank d [1961]Mary's maiden name was listed as CIRQ. Frank bur Rose Hill Cem, Brookfield, Linn Co MO; b Renick MO [Randolph Co]

Couldn't find any info re: Joseph's demise, but the suggestion given to you is good advice.
